The Return of Mega Evolution
On Pokémon Day 2025, The Pokémon Company announced the return of Mega Evolution – for both the upcoming video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the trading card game. After the end of the XY era (2013–2016), Mega Pokémon are now returning with revised mechanics.
The new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex differ significantly from their predecessors: they give up three Prize cards upon a Knockout, feature a new black and yellow ex symbol, and can evolve from regular Pokémon during the game. A completely new rarity level, Mega Ultra Rare (MUR), has also been introduced.
Mega Brave (M1L)
The first set in the MEGA Series features Mega Lucario ex. Mega Brave was released on August 1, 2025, in Japan and on September 26, 2025, in Korea.

Each display contains 30 booster packs with 5 cards each – a total of 150 cards. The set includes 63 main set cards as well as over 20 Secret Rares.

The most anticipated set of the MEGA Series brings Mega Charizard X ex to the TCG – for the first time since the XY era.
Inferno X is the second main expansion of the MEGA Series. The Japanese release was on September 26, 2025, and it will be released in Korea on November 28, 2025.
